Ten Years of Dreams and Flavors Conquer the World: Our Story

April 29 2025 is a date that marks a decade of passion, challenges, and success for Best Italian Selection. Our story began with a deep desire for renewal — a fresh direction that has since become the beating heart of our identity.

Exactly ten years ago today, BIS Best Italian Selection was founded by myself, my brother Giovanni, and Domenico Melillo, our administrative manager. The name reflected not only our passion for the finest Italian food products, but also our determination to rise to the challenge and take our combined experience to the next level.

From the very beginning, we set our sights on the horizon. However, our heart has always remained firmly planted in the soil of our roots, anchored to the rich heritage and authenticity of our homeland, Campania.

A Journey through Italian Excellence

From the fertile and generous land of Campania, kissed by the sun and rich in ancient agricultural traditions, Best Italian Selection has embarked on an ambitious journey, a true mission of taste: to bring the authentic essence of Italian agricultural and food excellence to tables around the world.

With an almost sacred dedication, we carefully select every single product, a treasure chest of unique flavors and stories of passion. Imagine the intense fragrance of juicy peeled tomatoes, grown with love and also processed in accordance with traditional recipes; the rough and authentic texture of artisanal bronze-drawn pasta, which encompasses the fragrance of wheat and the wisdom of ancient pasta makers; the golden, fruity richness of extra-virgin olive oil, an elixir of well-being that tells the story of centuries-old olive groves; the complex harmony of regional wines, authentic expressions of unique terroirs and a millennia-old winemaking culture; and finally, the enveloping sweetness of typical desserts, custodians of secrets handed down from generation to generation.

Our primary goal has always been to proudly promote the authentic taste of true “Made in Italy,” guaranteeing our partners and end consumers superior quality rooted in the rich and varied culinary tradition of our beloved country.

Don Vincenzo: An Emotional Tribute that Embodies Our Essence

The Don Vincenzo brand is an intimate and heartfelt tribute to the memory of my father. His long emigration to Germany, which marked my childhood, did not diminish the deep imprint he left on my personality.

A man of rare stubbornness and indomitable fortitude, he passed on to me the valuable lesson of never giving up.

It was from a deep desire to communicate with him, a need for connection that overcame distance and that one day took the form of writing a letter, that the idea of honoring his memory by creating this brand was born.

Every Don Vincenzo product – from fine wines to extra virgin olive oil, from artisanal pasta to many other excellences – is an ‘authentic expression of our land, carefully crafted by Italian artisans.

Le Radici del "Made in Italy"

L’espressione “Made in Italy” ha acquisito notorietà a partire dagli anni Ottanta, come parte di un processo di rivalutazione e difesa dell’italianità dei prodotti, al fine di contrastare la falsificazione della produzione artigianale e industriale italiana. All’estero, i prodotti italiani hanno guadagnato nel tempo una reputazione per la qualità costruttiva, l’attenzione ai dettagli, il design fantasioso e la durabilità. Queste caratteristiche sono particolarmente evidenti nei quattro settori tradizionali: moda, agroalimentare, arredamento e meccanica.

Dal 1999, la dicitura “Made in Italy” è tutelata da associazioni come l’Istituto per la Tutela dei Produttori Italiani e regolata da leggi statali, a testimonianza dell’importanza di preservare l’autenticità e l’eccellenza dei prodotti italiani nel mondo.
