🛒 INGREDIENTS

  • BIS Arborio Rice – 2 packages
  • Long Nori seaweed sheets – 4 sheets
  • Plastic wrap – for wrapping
  • BIS Classic Pesto – 1 jar
  • Fior di Latte Cheese – 500-600 gr
  • BIS Sun-Dried Tomatoes – 4-5
  • Basil Leaves – to taste
  • Rice Vinegar or Apple Cider Vinegar – 2 tablespoons
  • Sugar – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – to taste

📝 DIRECTIONS

  • Preparing the Rice:
  1. Start by rinsing the BIS Arborio Rice under cold running water to eliminate all the starch, until the water becomes clear.
  2. Place the rice in a pan and add just enough water to cover it, cooking with the lid on until the rice is soft and cooked (about 12-15 minutes).
  3. Once cooked, spread the rice on a large plate to cool completely.
  4. In a bowl, mix the rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar), salt, and sugar, then add this mixture to the cooled rice and mix well to flavor it.
  • Preparing the filling:
  1. Cut the fior di latte cheese into thin strips.
  2. Take the BIS Sun-Dried Tomatoes and cut them into strips as well.
  3. Wash and dry a few fresh basil leaves.
  • Assembling the Sushi Roll:
  1. Place a sheet of Nori seaweed on a flat surface (a sushi mat works great).
  2. With wet hands, spread a thin layer of rice on the central part of the seaweed, leaving a small border free at the top and bottom.
  3. Spread some BIS Classic Pesto on the rice and add the fior di latte strips, the sun-dried tomatoes, and a few basil leaves.
  4. Lightly moisten the top edge of the seaweed with water, then gently roll the sushi, trying to keep it compact.
  5. Cut the roll into 6-8 pieces using a sharp knife that you have previously moistened with water.
