  • Puff pastry: 2 rolls
  • Sesame seeds: 10-15 gr
  • Pesto Classico BIS: 80-100 gr
  • Philadelphia (or spreadable cheese): 100-125 gr
  • Fresh shrimp: 250-300 gr
  • BIS Basil-flavored oil: 2-3 tablespoons
  • Egg: 1 medium (for brushing)
  • Salt: q.s. (quantum satis/as needed)
  • Pepper: q.s. (quantum satis/as needed)

📝 DIRECTIONS

  • Prepare the Crispy Puff Pastry Spoons:

    • Unroll the two sheets of puff pastry and gently lay one on top of the other, pressing them lightly to make them stick.
    • Use a regular kitchen spoon as a mold: place it on the pastry and cut around it with a sharp knife (or simply use the tip of the spoon for a more rustic shape), removing the excess dough. This will give you your basic “spoons.”
    • Arrange the shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
    • Brush with the beaten egg for a perfect golden finish and generously sprinkle with sesame seeds.
    • Bake at 180°C (350°F) (pre-heated static oven) for about 15 minutes, or until they’re puffed and a beautiful golden brown.

    Cook the Fresh Shrimp with BIS Flavored Oil:

    • Clean the fresh shrimp, removing the shell and intestinal tract.
    • In a bowl, season them with a generous drizzle of BIS Basil-flavored oil, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. The BIS oil will add an unmistakable touch of flavor!
    • Heat a non-stick pan well. Once hot, add the shrimp and quickly sear them for 2-3 minutes per side, just long enough for them to turn pink and be cooked through but still tender. Don’t overcook them to avoid them becoming rubbery.

    Assemble and Plate with Style:

    • Once the puff pastry spoons have cooled slightly (but are still crispy!), it’s time to assemble.
    • Spread a generous amount of Pesto Classico BIS on each spoon: its authentic flavor will be the aromatic base of your finger food.
    • Add a teaspoon of Philadelphia (or your preferred spreadable cheese) for a contrasting texture and a touch of creaminess.
    • Complete each spoon by delicately placing 1-2 seared shrimp on top.
